Fashilluminous Fave Spring Trends

Hey Fashloves,

When ever I think of the month of May, Spring automatically pops up in my head. The gorgeous flowers, bright sunlight, and of course hot trends. Today I decided to showcase above a few of my fave spring trends for 2015. All of these trends can be found in numerous retail stores as well as online. I decided I would show you a basic way of how I would style my favorite trend for the day time -- the zen all white look. This classic look works wonders for all skin tones and gives great pure vibes.

Top: Forever21/ Trousers: H&M/ Flats: Call it Spring/ Clutch: Zara
It was a pretty hot day so wearing all white helped tremendously! A loose fitting top paired with fitted trousers works well because it provides balance within my outfit. To add some spice I went for my silver snakeskin printed flats and also because they are really comfy (I love shoes from Call it Spring). To finish it off, I wore my all time favorite clutch from Zara which I feel pulled the look all together.

I plan on showing you all how else I would style my fave Spring Trends within the coming weeks but in the meantime, what trends are you wearing in this Spring?

How To: Add Spice to Your Look

How to take a drab look like this..
And turn it into this!
Hey Fashlovers,

So today I wanted to give a few quick tips on how to take a seemingly drab outfit and make it look brand new!
As you can see above I decided to opt for a double denim look (which is pretty trendy this Spring). I chose completely different denims in order to show you all that it is possible to make an outfit like this actually look nice as well lol.

Tip #1: Work with your sleeves

Depending on the look you are going for try switching it up by either rolling, cuffing, or scrunching your sleeves. Because I was wearing a denim shirt I decided to roll and cuff which worked out perfectly because it was a pretty hot day. I also rolled the bottom of my boyfriend jeans because I simply love the look!

Tip #2: Power is within the tuck!

For some reason I really love tucking in my shirt! I honestly probably need an intervention when it comes to it actually lol. Tucking in your shirt makes the look appear more chic, especially if your bottoms are high-waisted. For my look I chose to go for the half tuck in route just to be different.

Tip #3: Add a Trendy Piece

Trends are my thing guys! I love waiting to see what will be the hot new trends for the next season. You can typically find them out through fashion shows, magazines, and popular fashion websites. Any who, I felt a bag would work well with my look so I opted for the now trending bucket bag. Adding a trend helps refine the outfit and keep it fresh.

Tip #4: Glam up your face

This was by far the easiest part of putting the look together! Simply choose your fave lip color and sunnies. Lipstick adds a pop of color to your face and who doesn't love that.

Tip #5: Shoes does the trick!

One of the best ways to take a drab look up a notch is definitely through the shoes. The quote "shoes are a girls best friend" is applicable when it comes to fashion. When it comes up spicing up your look during the day, try going for a chunky heel if you would rather not wear flats.

There you have it folks! Try using these tips when spicing up your look whether it's drab or simply casual.

I love putting together these "How to's" and will be pumping them out at least each month. Let me know if you have any specific requests and I'll be sure to complete them for you! Until next time :)
