ItsRyanRose & Fashilluminous Collab

Hey guys!

So today I am coming to you with a long over due post. I've been super busy this past week so I haven't had the chance until now but here is my collab I had the pleasure of participating in with Alexandra from!

So for this collab we decided to show you all what we would wear to a Summer music concert/festival. We also had the time to chit chat about our future aspirations and speak about our blogs. Not only was she super down to earth but also great at taking pictures (She knows how to serve face! lol). Below I'll post pictures from our meet up and details about our looks individually.

So of course because it was a Summer music festival lookbook we both decided shorts were the most appropriate. Florida is super hot so the more skin you can show (appropriately of course) the better! Alexandra's look is more urban so I could def picture her at a concert that has exciting, crowd jumping type of music.

I loved her simple yet classic look! It works perfectly for those warm Summer days. As for me on the other hand, Alexandra put it perfectly. She said my look mirrored a Jazz music festival inspired look and I couldn't agree more.
When putting this look together I wanted to have a mix of different pieces. I chose the white lace top to be feminine, my fave green outerwear jacket to add color, and my newly purchased flat-forms was the trendy icing on the top. I wore my purple lipstick because I believe a touch of purple along with military green complements each other perfectly!
As I stated earlier I had a great time meeting up with her and it is always great to meet a fellow blogger! Be sure to check her out at and stay up to date with her looks!

How To: Take your Look from Day to Night in 10 Minutes

Take your look from Day time Casual

To Night Time Fab!

Hey Fash loves!
So how many of you have very busy schedules? So busy that sometimes you don't even have enough time to go back home and actually rest and/or change before heading out for a night out on the town. If you find this happening more frequently then usual then this post is for you! Today I'll be showing you all how I transform my look and a give a few tips that can be used to go from casual to night time fabulous in 10 minutes!
When it comes to being casual, comfort is definitely the key (at least it is for me!). During the day I am typically running errands, hanging out with friends, or heading to classes. Because of I this I can always be caught in either flats, sandals, or sneakers. If you know that you may be heading out to event at night and will have absolutely no time to change be sure to choose an outfit that can be glammed up and is more basic. As you can see I wore this simple black oversized top and one of my favorite pair of shorts. Although I am showing skin I chose the top because it goes pretty far down in the back so I could be covered up there. I didn't want to carry a big bag so my small gray leatherette bag worked perfectly!

For my face I opted for a fresh face as well. I only have on foundation with a bit of highlight and contour. I knew I would be dressing up at night so I saved the lipstick for the occasion.

Here is my fab night look version of the look. I firmly believe in the third piece rule when it comes to putting together my looks and is a perfect addition when dressing for a night out.

Third piece rule: Having 3 pieces in your look besides your shoes. The top and bottom are the first two and the third piece is an extra outfit element such as a jacket, blazer, sweater, vest or statement accessory(as stated by

Adding a third piece demonstrates that there was effort put into your look and adds an interesting factor as well. I chose a motorcycle jacket because I wanted to be edgy (who doesn't love edgy from time to time). I knew I wanted to keep my look all black so I decided to wear my fave single strap sandals which keeps the look minimal. To add a final touch I added my signature red lip and silver choker necklace.

To summarize, below you'll find the tips in a more condensed form:
Tip #1. If you know you'll be heading out at night, make sure your casual look is basic but can be glammed up at night.
Tip #2. Remember being casual can be showcased through your shoes, Sneakers are great during the day and heels are perfect at night. Not to mention, you'll want to rest your feet before wearing heels the whole night.
Tip #3. Third piece rule is your friend! Bring another piece to add to your look such as a motorcycle jacket or light coat.
Tip #4. Bring your Make up and accessories with you so you can add spice. Lipstick is the perfect way to take your look from day to night and be sure to change your jewelry.

Let me know if you enjoyed this look & tips! How would you take your look from day to night?
