Hey Fashloves!
As I grow in my fashion journey, I am slowly moving towards a more minimalist wardrobe and I am currently loving it! Not only is it easy to pair looks together because I'm working with a neutral palette (extremely versatile) but it is also very aesthetically pleasing. When looking for minimalist outfit inspirations I sometimes run into the issue of how much each piece can actually cost within those looks. Building a new wardrobe from the ground up isn't the easiest - especially if you are on a budget (the college struggle is real guys!).
Minimalist Fashion: Wardrobe that is comprised of basic pieces in neural shades (black, white, nude, gray, etc). Minimalists follow the mantra: less is more.
Want to learn how to get a fab minimalist look for less? Then you are at the right place! Today Kay Thomas, the stylist behind the booming VisionsbyKay social media pages, will be showing you all looks she created that aren't worth an arm and a leg.

Right now I'm in a stage where minimalism is EVERYTHING. I can wear neutral/earth tone colors and always be in style regardless of what season it is. Neutral colors being white, pink, nude, olive, grey and black. These colors can be paired with other neutral as well as other colors.
1. Emphasize your accessory
I wanted to emphasize having an accessory to make a basic outfit stand out. Being that winter is right around the corner, I wanted to give some fur slayage. I got this fur from Amazon, not sure how much it costs because it was a gift lol but I'm in love with it. So in love that I don’t think I’ll actually wear it unless I go somewhere extra special. The midi skirt is from Cotton On and heels are from Forever21.
2. Add a touch of chic by wearing a coat
In this photo I wanted to show how you can classy up a basic look by adding a coat. This is a light waterfall coat from Boohoo.com a British label. The bralet is from Forever21, jeans are Levi’s thrifted from the Salvation Army and heels are Vince Camuto from Macy’s.
3. Versatility is key
I wanted to emphasize versatility. This v-neck is from Forever21 that I rolled into a crop top to make it a little more girly and paired them with my favorite pair of black heels. People think that you always have to wear dressy pieces with skirts but that’s not the case at all, as I paired this Boohoo.com midi skirt with a pair of Adidas to dress it down.
