The Color You Must Wear This Winter Season

So let me just start off by saying that winter has been kicking my butt! As a Floridian, any temperature below 60 degrees would have you shaking in your boots so my Winter experience here in Atlanta hasn't been the prettiest. Luckily I've been adapting (40 degrees is now a breeze) and was able to capture this look before heading to a networking event last week.

If you've been following my blog for a while now you know I tend to gravitate towards a more neutral color palette so sometimes I find incorporating bold colors a bit challenging. This winter I've ventured back out of my comfort zone (baby steps ya'll) and started adding what I believe to be the 'it' color for this season back into my outfits. You can probably guess that the color I'm referring to is red! I've noticed that my favorite stores have added red into their displays, designers into their runway looks, and all throughout street style outfits. Now don't get me wrong, I never shy away from a red lip but I knew that when it comes to adding colors back into my wardrobe I had to start off by adding splashes of that hue.

If you're anything like me, when adding colors into your looks I recommend starting off by adding it to make a statement. Whether adding it into your outerwear (think coats or blazers) or through an accessory such as my cross body bag, I think red is the perfect color to start off with because it flows really nicely with neutral colored pieces. While we're forced to be bundled up because of the cold, let your style do the talking this winter by wearing red!
